Position Overview:   We have a contract opportunity for a successful IT Project Manager with 5+ years of Project Management experience in software development and software implementation, a PMP certification and a technical degree. You will manage several critical projects simultaneously to deliver high quality scope on time and within budget. You will lead cross-functional teams, promoting high quality processes, and supporting and advancing the companies mission and core values.
 
Details/Requirements:   Mandatory Skills
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in the development of custom software solutions and in the implementation of packaged solutions.
  • 3+ years of full PM responsibility for scope, budgets and schedules, PM of 2+ projects of at least $1 million each.
  • 2+ instances of managing full-scale, custom developed applications,PM of at least one packaged solution implementation project worth 1+ million.
  • 2+ instances of mixed project teams consisting of internal and contract / subcontract resources,2+ instances of managing teams of 10+ members.
  • At least one instance of managing 5+ concurrent projects, Prior experience with at least one superior software development IT methodology
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  • PMP certification.
The following skills and experience are considered an asset:

Superior technical background which includes current conceptual knowledge of: OOD, RDBMS, .NET and productivity tools for software development. Good knowledge of at least one application for Project Scheduling. Solid communication, planning, execution, and critical thinking skills. Good writing skills both business and technical.
